Louis (Leah) Rosenzweig, the daughter of Nathan and Nechama, was born in 1927 in Paris, France, where she completed High School and a School of Nursing, and thereafter worked as a nurse.
She volunteered for service in the Haganah and arrived in Palestine, April, 1948, on a ship with other Machal from France. She served as a nurse during the siege of Jerusalem, and, later, with the rank of sergeant in one of the battalions of the Palmach.
During a period of leave while visiting relatives in Tel Aviv, she suffered a fatal heart attack on January 12th, 1949 and was buried the next day in the Nachlat Itzhak Cemetery in Tel Aviv.
