Son of Machlouf and Miriam, Albert Moyal he was born in Casablanca, Morocco, in 1924. He was orphaned at the age of one-year when his father died and he was obliged to start work after he completing elementary school. At first, he worked as a shoemaker and then as a merchant, but he grew up in under difficult circumstances.
He immigrated to Israel in 1948 and volunteered to fight in Israel’s War of Independence.
He served as a soldier in the Alexandroni Brigade and fell in the battle of Iraq el-Manshiya on 28th December, 1948, leaving a widow, Esther.
He was buried at Faluja and later laid to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
