- Type in the volunteer’s surname (family name). If you know the country of origin, then type in that as well. If you do not know the country of origin, and type in the surname (family name) only, you will receive data for all the volunteers with the same surname from all 59 countries covered by the database. Now you’re ready to click on “search.”
- To select the country of origin, click on the small arrow to the side of the rectangle marked “Please Select,” and the list of all the countries of origin will open up. Move the cursor to the country of choice and click again. Then click on “search.”
- To select the volunteer’s unit/branch, click on the small arrow to the side of the rectangle marked “Please Select,” and the list of units/branches will open up. Move the cursor to the unit/branch of choice and click again. Then click on “search.”
- If you wish to ascertain all the volunteers from one country, simply follow the instructions in paragraph 2 above.
- If you wish to ascertain all the volunteers who served in a branch of the IDF, e.g. Air Force, simply follow the instructions in paragraph 3 above.
