MACHAL’S YOM HAZICHARON SERVICE

We shall be meeting once again at the World Machal Memorial to honour the memory of our 123 Fallen Comrades. We look forward to seeing you as well as your friends and relatives at our Service.
THE SERVICE WILL COMMENCE AT 10.50 HOURS SHARP!
You may also like to enjoy a picnic lunch with comrades and friends in the picnic area of Sha’ar Hagai after the Service, in which case please bring you own picnic lunch.
Please be sure to bring your own drinking water and a hat.
In order to cover expenses for the facilities provided by the KKL for our Memorial Service, Machalniks and friends are requested to make a donation to Machal of NS50 per person (adults only). Please make your payment in cash only at the cashier’s table at the ceremony, and please be sure to have the exact amount ready as finding the right amount of change may be a problem.
MEMORIAL TO “EXODUS 1947”
The American Jewish Historical Society is organizing the erection of a memorial to the Aliyah Bet ship “Exodus 1947” to be located at the Haifa Port. The dedication will take place on 18th July 2017, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the battle with the blockading British warships. This link tells you the story of the Exodus 1947:.

VICTORY AND FIGHTER MEDALS (ALEH AND OT HAKOMEMIYUT) – If any Machalniks have not yet received the Fighter and/or Victory medal ribbons, please contact Doreen at Smoky Simon’s office (03-621-2724 or doreen@sw.co.il), and she will tell you the procedure you need to follow to receive these medals.
