The son of Koti and Yosef, Solomon Morley-Dahan was born on 12th May 1920 in the town of Melila in Spanish Morocco.
He arrived in Israel on 28th September 1948 and was mobilized into the IDF as a doctor. He was posted to serve as medical officer in a minorities unit of Druze and Circassian Moslems.
During “Operation Hiram” he participated with his unit in the attack on the village of Yanouch. During the enemy counterattack, while tending to a wounded soldier in the field of action, he was hit by an enemy bullet and killed on 28th October 1948.
He was buried in the Nahariya Military Cemetery, and posthumously promoted to the rank of Lieutenant as of 29th October 1948.
