Monday 24th June, 2013; Smoky Simon, Chairman of World Machal and Chief-of-Air-Operations in Israel’s War of Independence, addresses an induction course of new Machalniks at the Michael Levin Lone Soldiers Centre in Tel Aviv. Smoky told the group the story of the Machalniks who volunteered in 1946-47 (including Aliyah Bet) and the critical role the Machalniks played in Israel’s victory over 6 Arab Armies.
